need some advice-2010 or 2011?

I am getting ready to order my new camaro. However I can't decide if I should order now (before 4/10)for a 2010 or on 4/12 (first day the 2011 orders will be accepted). I guess I have three questions. 1) do you think the 2011 camaro will be worth the extra month or so wait? I don't really care that much about hid (but is a nice perk), and I'm not sure there will be many new features at all. 2) If I can find a dealer that has an allocation and I order on April 12 (they start building on the 2011's on June 7th I believe) do you think I will receive my car before they go on vacation on July 5th for two weeks?
ps. I've read many posts about people putting in orders and their car "sitting" at 1100, because their dealer did not have an allocation. How can a person be sure the dealer is telling the truth? Thanks in advance. Great forum!!!

there are a lot of 2010 models on the lots right now.you should be able to find one without ordering.i don't think the changes are going to be very drastic on the 2011.i am sure you will paying more money for a 2011.there are a lot of car dealers on this forum that could probably find you a car.by the way welcome to c5.

Depends on the changes. I would wait and get the 2011. It can only get better.

We're talking 3 weeks time. Just wait and see what they give us. If it was January or February, I'd tell ya to bite the bullet and "buy now". But there's really not a lot of time between now and when the 2011s are available for order, so I think you should just hang in there.

I agree, wait and see. If not, you can deal on a 2010 on the lot at that time. Don't kick yourself in three weeks thinking, if only.........

I would wait if I were you, why not get a 2011 model for the sake of waiting 3 weeks, I would.

On a side note, I hope that when I can buy my Camaro later in the year, they are dealing on 2010 models to get them off the lot!

I'm not proud, I'd drive a 'new' 2010 model to save a buck or two!

Did that with my wife's MX5 - bought a brand new 2007 model at the beginning of 2008 and saved over $5000 off sticker due to the dealer needing to get it off the lot.

Don’t worry when time passes by. There’s plenty of awesome Camaros in many color and models available in dealership lots.

Just like this 2SS M6 next to my RY Camaro.

P.S. That TA that got too close to my Camaro almost got his ass whip after I took this picture. The gap was about 6 inches off. The idiot thought my car was for sale.

I want it this summer. That's why I was wondering if I would receive it before they go on vacation July 5th for two weeks. They would have 23 days to build it if they started on June 7th (the 1st day productions begins on 2011 models).

There is always the depreciation. If you get a 10 it's already considered a year old.Patience is killing me but i think it will be worth the wait. Also curious as to when the 11's will hit the dealers.

Get a 10. You won't have the car till july if you wait. Do you want to give up 2 months plus of good driving weather here in the snowbelt?

You can also save $1,000 to $1,500 off sticker on a 10 right now too. and you can bet the 11's will have a price increase too. If price matters.
