GHL Exhaust Questions
I had a GHL axleback setup on my vette and really like the sound, so I'm looking at GHL again for my 2SS M6. I need some input on what the difference is between an axle back vs an axle back w/o mufflers. (besides the obvious.. one has no mufflers
). What would the sound difference be w/o mullfers? Also would there be more popping on deceleration w/o mufflers? I'm leaning towards the catback setup, but still want to perform due diligence on the axle backs.As always, thanks for the input. These are the setups I'm considering: 1. GHL 3" True Dual Polished SS Catback Exhaust w/X Pipe and 4.25" Tips $999.00 2. GHL Polished SS Axleback Exhaust w/mufflers and 4.25" Tips $399.00 3. GHL Polished SS Axleback Exhaust w/out mufflers and 4.25" Tips $559.00

No mufflers would sound a bit louder, however, you will get more popping. Axle-back vs cat-back: axle back would only be good for sound, whereas cat-back may give you a bit more performance

I wonder if the performance gains with the catback are worth the additional cost? The only only mod will be an Airaid intake, but down the road, I plan on a SC, but not for a few years. I want the warranty to be valid for a few years just in case.
