Question 4th generation tire blow out

So I'm driving down the freeway tonight about 65mph. drivers side rear
Goodrich G-Force KDWS blows out. Sidewall stays seated on rim all the way around with a total tear where the sidewall meets the tread, perfect circle tear all the way around the tire. Tires are around half wore out. Not sure if I hit something. If I cannot find any evidence of a road hazard I will not be buying Goodrich tires again. So much for a tire being good to 168MPH.

And yes I purchased these from the Tire Rack. No road hazard warranty

I feel your pain. I had a Goodyear blow out on me on a rainy Christmas night on year. Maybe you just had a bad tire? BFG's are good tirtes IMO.

How old were the tires, and was the car usually parked outside in the sun and elements?

Tires have a suggested life of 7 years. Check your date stamps.
