Yes another stupid question!

Ya think the motor would be cooler without the engine cover?

You know......67 GTO runs his car w/o the cover, I saw it in person. He likes the way the engine looks and he believes the cover just traps the heat. I am thinking of doing the same......because of aesthetic reasons.

But my worry is that since mine is a daily driver won't removing the cover expose the engine to crap load of debris?

only if the intake is power coated or painted. Personelly think it is ugly!

99% of engine cooling comes from the radiator. It won't make much if any difference if you remove the cover.

Any impact on anything under the hood of the car would minimal. It's purely for looks.

Yeah cover is only for looks. It has no significant reason for being there. Just something for ppl to use to make their car a little more unique. I went without mine for 2 or 3 weeks before painting my cover and reinstalling it. made no difference except for the looks under the hood.
