Hey all,

Oh look! Its a thread about an "other car"..in the General Automotive + Other Cars Discussion board!!

Edmunds has some pics of the 2011 Charger interior from the drivers side. This particular Charger also has the new ZF 8 speed automatic. I gotta say..I like this interior..serious step up, way to go Mopar!

I always thought Dodge/Chrysler (since 2006 anyway) has had a much better interior than many on the market. This is even betten than that. very nicely done dodge boys...

wow it looks worlds better than the old one (and i liked the old one)

and hmmmmm the 8 speed already testing?
maybe it's coming earlier than 2012?
and i hope the challenger doesnt have the stupid rams head on the steering wheel since it no longer has it on the hood.

OK, the interior is great, but what I really want to know is: what is that big red button in the center console for?????

It wont, this is just a test mule and thus the badging isnt final. The exterior mules also have the rams head for now.

yea that's what i figured. but what about the 8 speed? will they just import it for now to release it early then later on build it on their own in 2013 and beyond?

Yep, its clearly a new unit. The shifter and whole setup just smacks of BMW/Audi's automatics.

And yes, they'll be importing them for a while. My guess is that its possible 2011's will get the new transmission, otherwise they'd be running test mules next year.

They are. This is likely a test mule that has been around since before the decision to get rid of the sheeps head

It's the 'Emergency Off' button.
