Drove some curvy roads last night

I must say the camaro handles extremely well in the twisties for its weight. Chevy did an awesome job with the suspension. It felt like my E46 BMW M3. For the people that say the Camaro is too heavy or whatever excuse they come up with to say the camaro cant handle well, they are mistaken.

Yes, I know what you are saying. I took mine to the great Northern Michigan area where its all twisties and up and down hills. Let me say I never expected this thing to hug the road like it did at 75 mphs on the turns. Mind you the turn signs had a posted speed of 30 mph around them and this car just blew through them. Very impressive.

Coming from a Honda S2000 I must say the Camaro handles really well especially for it's proportions. The only issue with this car is visibility but that only plays a role when attempting to make passes on the highway etc. It's really not a HUGE deal but doesn't inspire 100% confidence at times. I still occassionally have close calls here and there if someone sneaks up on me quick on either side of car. Just gotta MAKE sure to look over shoulder conistently and not rely upon mirrors.

If you think it handles well stock, drop the ride height and you will be amazed.

I am guessin he was in the New Hope area or north of it in PA, right before you cross over to Jersey, outstanding twisties up there.

My parents live in Souderton, PA and I had an outstanding time 2 weeks ago driving my car around there. I also drove to Philly using Lincoln and Kelly Drive, and if you have been on those roads in Philly, you know how awesome the twisties and the grade changes are

The car handled amazingly, torque-ing around each turn was so much fun.

I put in Pfadt drop springs, sway bars, and end links. The handling is remarkably better than stock.

The inexpensive convex mirrors you can buy at any auto parts store are golden for removing the blind spot. Have them on mine and I never have to turn my head around. I make sure everyone in my family has them when they get a different car. These should be on every car on the road. The small ones work well and don't take away any of the Camaro's great look.

I drove some hilly and curvy roads last weekend down near Marble Falls, TX and was really impressed with how the beast hugged the roads at 80 mph. Much praise to Chevy for the monster that they have created!

I did a google maps search to see what New Jersey "curvy" meant.

I just want to compare New Jersey Curvy to Washington Curvy (same scale for both maps).

New Jersey Curvy:???

Washington Curvy!!!:

Well, I have to both agree and disagree with you here.

The Camaro does handle quite well for it's size and gets impressive numbers on the skidpad. Will it handle as well as a car designed strictly for curvy tracks? No. But, it will handle well enough that on most roads with curves it will blow away cars like yours and many others.

Check out the Lightning Lap shootout which compared cars on a track with curves and straights. I wonder how your RX8 would have compared here. Probably not well. The power of the engine definately makes up for any lack of taking curves slightly slower. Link to the article.
