I think I am in need of some body maintenance...
As the title suggests, what do you guys think?
At approximately 0715 on 12-07-2011 someone was driving on the second floor of the garage I park in, as they turned off of the ramp they turned too sharp striking another vehicle which happened to be mine, a Chevrolet Camaro 2SS/RS with a Nissan Titan truck removing the rear bumper and damaging the right side of the vehicle. Corporate Security was on the scene and took pictures. ![]() ![]() That is the just of the security report. I was furious. Luckily, I was not in the car and no one was injured, except my sweet Molly. With that being said, I talked with my insurance and I can get a body kit put on and anything over the cost of repairs comes from me. Total repairs: $4500 Front Bumper Part: $422.97 Rear Bumper Part: $402.21 So, any suggestions? I want to stay away from Extreme Dimensions as I have heard too many horror stories. These things no matter the manufacturer, never fit just right so I am looking for your best suggestions. Thanks! |

Maybe some duct tape and bailing wire that should make it barely noticable! :-)
In all seriousness, Sorry this happened. I avoid garages as much as I can for this very reason.

Yeah, they said it wouldn't take too much time. I am trying to find a body kit and I was leaning on the Razzi but...I would need a whole new rear bumper cover.

I want to kno how you predicted this? I mean your name is ramrod
and join date of 2007 yet here in 2011 your car really is a ramrod.... crazy....so to hear about the accident, that would piss me off something fierce, and around the holidays just makes it worse..

You don't even know how furious I was. I was sitting at work when my manager asks "hey, don't you drive a grey Camaro and park it on the corner?" I say "Sure do. Whats up?" Well, I got an email, not sure if it was a Camaro but uh...it might be." I run out there and sure enough...bam. I saw it from a distance and with every step I could feel my heart drop farther and farther away from my chest.
So, I am TRYING to find a rear and front bumper but I want to stay away from Fiberglass. I was thinking ABS plastic/Duraflex/Polyurethane. Anyone have any thoughts? And HAR HAR on the name connection
