I have done writeups on drop coils and on a G8 diff bushing. Have not done one one yet on a subframe complete bushing. Which bushing specifically did you get?

If you can get it high enough, you need to drop the exhaust, remove the heat shield, disconnect the driveshaft and you will be able to lower the diff center section enough to cut out the steel sleeves on the old bushings. Or call Cincy Speed for their custom puller tool to save time.

We did one diff bushing until ran into a problem, ran out of time, and put everything back up. Cradle inserts were a lot easier than full replacements.

If you get the alignment kit, replace the bolts when the cradle is dropped. Needed to drop the cradle again after we saw the alignment bolt hitting the gas tank.

Here is a link to assist you in the differential bushing. Now it is for a G8, but is nearly identical process.

The differential does not have to be removed from the subframe. Here is a quickie review
1. Remove exhaust
2. Disconnect the driveshaft
3. Loosen but do not remove the rear bushing bolt
4. Support the differential with a jack. add folded up shop towels and place underneath the axle boots.
5. Remove the front bolts, then lower the differential with the jack. the front bushings are now low enough to have total access to

Bushing removal. Pedders makes a special tool to press out the bushings. However, this tool is not available to a non Pedders dealer. So here is a process.
1. Either use a long hole saw or a reciprical saw, and core the bushing.
2. With the reciprical saw, cut a 1 inch section out of the outer steel jacket, paying very close attention not to cut unto the eyelet. The tension now will be totally out of the press fit of the eyelet and should come out easy using a chisel, or cut another slice 180 degrees from the 1 inch section. The steel jackets will come out very easily now.
3. Clean any burs that might be present.
4. Install the correct bushing halves. Lubricate the center hole, and install the metal ferrule.

Now the front bushings are complete

Using the jack, support the diff again, and remove the rear bushing bolt, and lower the differential. Follow the same process of bushing removal.

reinstall the diff back into position by first installing the rear bolt.

thanks
