well, after a month of having my New Era intake on my car I got a check engine light today... I noticed it on my way to the exhaust shop...(getting x-pipe and muffler delete). When I was there he suggested that there may be oil on the MAF from the filter. Are the New Era filters (I think they are K&N) oiled? I bought the intake used and although I get a little surging at low RPM it runs pretty good. I haven't done a tune yet as I was waiting to get the exhaust on but I have the Predator tuner so I will see what the code is later and check to see if anything is loose under the hood.

well, New Era got ahold of me and said the filter is oiled so I may have oil on the MAF. will look at it when I get it back and let everyone know. New Era said I may need a tune and I thought that from day 1 so I might finally load the Predator tune since I will have exhaust tonight. I wanted to wait for a custom tune and trans tune but maybe I should load it. any thoughts?
