IF it does, the fix is a tune, which IMO isnt a good fix. There is a post on the forum someplace from Janetty Racing that did a test on several CAI and I believe it indicates which ones need a tune and which ones do not.

I put a K&N on mine right after the break in period. I am approaching 5,000 miles and it has not thrown a single code or light. I kept all of the stock pieces and boxed them up in the K&N box. If there ever became an issue that I believed the K&N caused, I would simply pull it off and reinstall the factory equipment. I fuse pull and the computer system should take care of everything else. By the way I love my K&N its a good product.

No, it won't cause a CEL unless, as any other CAI, it is not installed correctly. Ensure you follow the instructions, get a good seal on all connections, and enjoy it.

Like USA1 said, no way, Jose!

I've had mine for probably 3000 miles and nothing. You'd have to mess up the MAF but then I don't think the car would even start.

Had mine for awhile now, no problems. Just make sure you disconnect the battery like it says in the instructions.

Battery disconnect takes 2 minutes. You just have to take the negative side off...

Do the battery DC. It literally takes one minute. And you don't lose any settings whatsoever. Your compass will need to be reset but that does it by itself when you start driving.

I just installed the K&N Typhoon last weekend. No CEL. Disconnected battery, all settings intact but I did need to re-index my driver window.

I put a K&N in my car today and I drove around all day with nothing wrong but maybe like 5 hours later the check engine light came on. I had the dealership put it in and I thought that maybe they didn't disconnect the battery so I did that and checked all the fittings and cycled the car and the light is still on. Any ideas?

check all the fittings and the MAF Sensor if all is tight then just cycle the car on and off about 20 times. This happend to me with my injen I cycled the car on and off and it went away by itself.
