question about paint

I know of a shop in Ft. Lauderdale FL that will do a House of Kandy paint job for 2200-2800

I know everyone here says " it's not a real paintjob if they dont paint the firewall and other crap" but I don't understand what's the big deal who can see a firewall? I'm sure i dont know the details but can someone tell me why a "true" paintjob cost 10k?

I'd be wary of any 2-3k paintjob, doesn't sound right to me, you get what you pay for..... a quality paint job would start at over 5k if the car was already prepped......

A true full custom/show paint job means inside trunk deck, inside doors, under hood. Strip all molding and lights, grill off the car and spray. Very very expensive.you can pay much less but you get what you pay for.

Hell, 2 grand is around what it takes just to get stripes paint on in most places, much less the entire car. Id stay away.
