unfortunately, yes. I had this very same question. carbon flash metallic is only for the 45th anniversary edition. if you look through the online order guide it says it there as well. You could get it and then choose the delete stripe option like the person above said, but you'd still have the 45 emblem on the side of your car (which you could remove) and big 45's stitched into your seats, etc. Not sure where else it might have the numbers 45. and the stitching in the car would still be blue and red.

....forgot the 45th door sills, 45th decal on the passenger side dashboard trim, the 3 color hash stripe on the steering wheel, and the 45th rims.

Is it my imagination, or is the jet black interior also darker than the standard black 2LT/2SS leather interior?

What is it that you don't like about the 45th that would keep you from ordering the car, if that's really the color that you like?

If it's the stripes, you could just remove them after picking up the car. You can also use the stripe delete option when you order (Although I would advise against this. You can always remove them yourself if you truly don't like them after living with them for a while. But if you order them without then change your mind, you'll have to pay to have them put on). A lot of people who saw the car in person realized they actually like the stripes, and many noted that even if they weren't totally crazy about them, they weren't as bad as they looked online.

If it's the wheels, that's so easy to fix. Heck, I'd wager that at least half the people who order Camaros end up replacing the wheels.

It can't be the interior specifications - who would seriously decline a car because of some minor items like that that are easily modifiable?

The 45th edition includes RS options and is so darned cheap, I can't figure out the problem ...

Correct. These things do take time, though, and at this point there's no confirmed date for that replacement to be announced.

I am excited to see the color as well, as Scott indicated we would like it. I love deep charcoal on a car and was a little disappointed in the "muddy" look of the CGM. Despite that, the first Camaro I ordered was CGM.

I'm not sure if this is going to help or not, but I ordered a set of custom floor mats, for my 1LT, which according to the window sticker has a "Black" interior. I ordered the floor mats in "Black", instead of other options like "Graphite", "Ebony", or "Charcoal", and the color that they came in is darker than the rest of the interior of the car. I don't mind as the contrast makes them stand out a little better and I actually like it, but the Camaro's interior really isn't Black, it's lighter.
