Money for Modding like crazy

The real question is this. If you have the money or can afford a Camaro SS or a ZL1 and you dump thousands if not 10's of thousands into the car, How much are you guys making a year? $100'000 plus ? I mean I bought mine with the thought of..Its brand new, All orignal, I don't have to try to restore it like I would if it was a first generation. I know of how its been cared for..ect. So I spend money once and im done. Where are all you guys comming from in these repressed times of jobs lost. People living on a shoestring spending this kind of money. Im just barely able to afford my dream Car ( This being my SS 45th.)

It just seems to me that people in here have more cash then they know what to do with. Don't get me wrong if you want to take your car apart and spend tons of cash just playing with it thats cool, Its your car to do that with. Me? Im just happy owning one and Trying to keep it in an orignal condition ( My challenge? to make it a survivor) Thats me

I just wonder, where all this money from people comes from? I feel like the poor kid on the street. I could not afford to spend the money I see being spent in here on "Mods" Some of it being spent foolishly. I know Im going to get beat for this

I'm single and don't really need much. Currently just renting a, maybe, 12x10 room in a house with 2 other guys. My rent for the year is $2,400 (not counting utilities). Besides Kaylee I live pretty simple. Don't take vacations really - my one this year is for Fest. Don't go out to bars or what not. So that's another area I save a ton of money in.

I know many people who easily spend 200$ a weekend at the bar then question how I afford a nice car 2010 2ss, 03 Denali and a 2012 spyder. I make mediocre money but I'm very good at saving. I work hard for my money and dealing with asshole clients all week so my toys are my stress relief.

A lot of people probably can't afford their cars and mods and get into a lot of debt but who cares long as their happy.

This.

But if you really want to feel poor, go hang out on a Corvette forum.

60+ hours a week, college degree and my own business. The money could probably be spent more wisely but my kids are grown(still should claim them though LOL) and I pay my bills. It's all relative. Like OP said, peruse the Corvette forums. My SS plus mods and dreams still don't equal the highend Vette. Just wondering-your Camaro isn't Green/Synergy in color is it? :/ Maybe you should not of spent your money on a dream-could be interpreted as a foolish purchase-JS?

Work as much as they make me!! We dont drink or smoke.
We live relativly reasonable. We spoil the kids, and give to charity.
It has taken years to get to this point. Wife and i decided, we re gonna live a little, and that included the new convertible and nice vacations...Simple is as simple does.

It all is 100% relative. It will always be a give and take on compromising of what you want/like more.

for me it a hobby its what keeps a person sane plus it could be worst. i bought a v6 as a daily drive who would have thought 14 months old and 16xxx miles. only drive it on the week ends. either i am working on it or my hayabusa and trust me for what i put into my bike i could have bought 3 more cars. it all about how you spend your paycheck. believe me 5 kids house payment and and very low debt.
