Speaker Covers?

I'm in the process of getting myself aftermarket speakers for my '14 Camaro SS, and I want to know if I should put the speaker covers on instead of leaving the stock perforated cover that is on the door.

PS I am doing this for the two frond and the two rears.

If I should, how do I do it??

Thanks!

No, use the factory ones. Those speakers aren't that great either. I had them in my Jeep

wow; I don't really want to go that huge in price....

I was looking at $200-$300 range for front and rear together. Fronts are components

60.11CS are components. I think you would notice a bigger difference upgrading the amp first. You could probably get away with just doing the fronts, too. I've heard the rears are a pain to swap out.

no, no -- I meant that I want front components -- I saw the oones you suggested are components. What I mean is that they are way too $$ for me right now since I just spent $500 on a receiver and Scosche mounting enclosure.

Here's what I use for the fronts: http://www.amazon.com/MB-Quart-PVM21...+quart+pvm+216

I got many recommendations on 4 different car audio websites to give these a try, and they have been fantastic. If you get these, you can ignore the rear speakers.

Now here is my question.

Check out this site (I know it says disc but check out the details), then check out the details on the kicker one that I was thinking of getting. Isn't the kicker more powerful??

I run Polk Audio and love the warm sound- I find a lot of others to be shrill and muddy.

Now that is too funny.....I was back on crutchfields website and perusing it and saw the polks. I have Polk in my home theater and I've been happy for the past eight years.

I'm looking at either the
Db6501
Db5251 or the
Dxi6501

All will use the amp JVC KS-AX3205D and receiver JVC KS-AX3205D

avoid the shallow mount version- they lack bass. I run the Momo component set which you can probably find elsewhere in your budget. They need power though- but give them a lot of clean power and wow... haven't heard better anywhere near that price. They're no B&O or MacIntosh, but they sound damn good.

Ok now you lost me a bit. I'm new to all this and although I am confident I can do it myself and am looking forward to it (everything in my sig I've done myself by myself except the exhaust - but I did the same exhaust on my last camaro by myself so I am looking forward to this!)

Other than that, as far as the specifics, I'm at your all's mercy.

Which are the shallow mount version and why are they shallow mount.....and when you say give them clean power - is my amp adequate?
