Any motorcyclists here? What kind of bike? Do you enjoy long trips, day cruises, "spirited pace" rides, or just a brief trip to the local hangout?

A 2005 Yamaha RSTD, mainly my commuting vehicle with a few long trips thrown in. Also have pulled a Time Out Camper with it.

Former rider here. I started on a Ninja 250 but sold it when I went into my surgical program. I'll graduate in Feb and then I'm considering another bike next spring.

Used to have a '91 Zx7. decided I better get rid of it instead of testing the speedometer limit anymore. Would love to get myself a 40's era bike to cruise on though.

Commits weekly crime
|
I used to ride...and would consider doing it again if I moved away from the city and suburbs of Seattle. City riding is just too dangerous, IMHO.
I haven't ridden since 1988 since I moved from the country into the city of Seattle. I bought a new 1986 Yamaha FJ1100, and it was awesome when I was away from the heavy traffic. But once I moved to Seattle, and almost being hit on a semi-daily basis got old really quick. I do plan to move out further into the country someday...especially as working from home over the internet becomes more popular. Right now, I need to be close to the city for the type of work I do....so I had to sacrifice riding. Not my bike, as I have no scanned pictures of it...but was identical to this.

That is one beautiful 42 outlaw2!
Here is my 2000 Sportster. I ride it quite a bit actually but this summer she hasn't seen the road near as much since the Camaro arrived. I built the engine in it and she is far from stock.
