GM NOVEMBER SALES DOWN 41%, SAAB PUT UP FOR SALE

http://media.gm.com/servlet/GatewayS...=2&docid=50747

Quote:
DETROIT - General Motors dealers in the United States delivered 154,877 vehicles in November, down 41 percent compared with a year ago. GM car sales of 58,786 were off 44 percent and truck sales of 96,091 were down 39 percent. The steep decline in vehicle sales was largely due to a significant drop in the market's retail demand compared with last year, and continuing economic uncertainty that has negatively impacted consumer confidence.
Saab Officially For Sale

Quote:
GMI was told earlier this morning that GM is now officially pursuing the sale of Saab.
Oh God...

Hrmmm...what to do now? I have a Saab and love it!! Best car I have ever owned!! That's being honest too!!

I have an extended warranty too...wonder what happens to that? Most Saabs are tied to Hummer or Cadillac dealers...man, some dealers are going to take a major hit with brands being sold off!!

Well...good news is the Saab will be traded in or sold when the Camaro gets here...so guess I won't worry too much.

Worst thing is congress today still says they are not really interested in helping out the big 3. The a-hole from my state only cares about the foriegn car makers in Alabama. Arrggg I am getting mad at congress that will bail out crooks at AIG but want to kill the blue collar workers.

Well either the company that buys the Saab Brand will honor the warrenty or GM will have to honor it.

Overall not terrible news given the circumstances.

They still sold more cars than Toyota...and Saab, as great a job as GM did with it probably just isn't worth the effort and money.

Funny, Ford tried to sell Volvo cars back to parent company Volvo.

They said - No thanks, suckers!
