Most every one knows my story of the dealer ship sealing in rail dust on my car with the auto armour package,....if you havent heres the basics...

2 weeks ago i bought a 2011 black 2lt/rs and had the auto armor done(protects against love bugs acid rain etc) well they ended up sealing in rail dust on my car and EFFED up my paint job so i brought it back to the dealership with less than 400 miles on it and we agreed, to take the money into the auto armor, 500 dollars and put it towrads stripes another 300= 800 dollars for srtipes,and they were supposed to clay bar out the rail dust.

Well after keeping my car for a full week they call and say come see your stripes....... we are putting your car back together.

So upon first appearance (from 50 feet away) the car looked great .......upon inspection the stripes are crap, theres trash in my stripes, trash on my hood in the black too, i dont think they ever clay barred it, i think they just tried to paint over the rail dust. in hopes of hiding it......

my stripes are wavy at the top one stripe is wider than the other at the top.....under my rear spoiler on the left side theres like a 1 inch strip of white paint on my trunk so apparently they didnt take off my spoiler to paint it. and the paint tech said hed "touch it up"

Also where the spoiler meets the trunk at the top the stripes are faded like he should have used a credit card or something to crease the tape for my stripes but it fades out on the edge of the white so the stripes arent continuous. is this confusing? ill have pix tommorrow

We talked to the paint tech and he said "yeah i knew about the trash" as if he might try to fix it(oh trust me hes GONNA fix it) and the wavy stripes and he just said "yeah"

is any off this stuff gonna buff out??? WTF is a girl to do????? am i gonna have to settle for less than perfect, less than near perfect, less than just ok, because its not even ok looking. How do i show up at a cruise-in with my car looking like this?

people are going to point and laugh at my poor "sylvester"

That is so sad...sounds like that dealer needs to be on the sh!t list.

Document everything and I mean everything.That way if you have issues later with your paint you have ammo.

Let them try to make it rite,never give in unless YOU are totally satisfied.

dont take your car back until it is right! it is your car and it isn't cheap. it is hard to live without the car but it'll be even harder to live with the messed up paint for the next ## years....

they would definitely get a call from my lawyer.i would not accept the car unless it is perfect.

good lord. long beach. care to mention the dealer name? or at least the street it's on?

do NOT settle for less than perfect. if you settle, you will regret it for as long as you have the car. these dealers prey upon customers who don't have an eye for detail, or a knowledge of mechanics, and how their cars should or should not sound.

my phone was dead so i couldnt take pix but they expect me to pick it up in the am.....so ill take some before i leave if it is still the same way and definitley leave it there..........The dealder is Turan-Foley, Gulfport, MS

They need to make it right. Don't take no for an answer - from another girl.. Time to turn from girl to beotch....

If they want you to pick up the vehicle - make sure you file a written complaint with the body shop and general manager. Then take your car to 3 body shops to get estimates to repair the vehicle properly. Bring these to the dealer and also demand that you get some form of compensation of the diminished value of your car that now has had paint work. If they refuse I would call GM customer service and report your difficulties and demand a replacement car from them.

Get tough...do NOT let them take advantage of the situation. If you accept anything other than perfection you will never truly like the car. The flaws in the paint and stripes will always bother you.

I agree CANIAC, Time to use the extra estrogen lol, and thanx Talwell and PAPABEAR, that'll be my next course of action, i remmebered the body shop guys exact words today,,,,...
when i told him bout the crooked stripes he said......
"now that may be something youll have to live with"
