Help choosing better headlight bulbs.

So the lighting in the camaro sucks at night and ive been looking to upgrade it. If looked at bfxenon and there is no way im paying 248$ for a hid kit. I did own a ddm tuning kit last year on my previous car and it more than i expected. What im looking for is the best HID kit for the camaro ls that i can still turn on and off. Or if possible a better bulb with more light output w/o the yellow look. thanks

The bulbs in there are h13 halogens. You can get some halogens that will give you a whiter white the you have now. None of them will be close to hids though. Many members have used the DDM kits and have been more then happy with them.

You can buy aftermarket HID's with halos that are the same as the RS ones for like 350 or so on E-bay...

If you just want to upgrade the bulb for a whiter color, you can also check your local parts store. Sylvania Silver star and Silver Star Ultra's.

Yeah, they are brighter @5500k. I believe the stock bulb is 3800k (k = kelvon).

AAC and BFXenon are both sponsors here.

I have the 8000k BFXenon HID. You don't change the housing and really easy to install. Worth every penny!

I was happy with the Hella light bulbs I put in my 2000 camry. Once I added the OEM fogs (which were made by hella), I noticed that the headlights weren't as bright.

Now the light matchs the oem fogs. I did some research and found that the "silverstars" don't last as long. So that is why I went there, and I didn't want to be "that guy" that installs an HID kit in a halogen housing annoying everyone around me because of the type of light and not having the projector for it.

I have them (the AAC HOD Xenons for $39)... BIG difference, I can now read street signs at night.

Plus I really like the bright white color over the stock yellow halogens

I run hids without projectors. It's not as bad for oncoming cars when you adjust the lights down some. Most people leave them pointed to high.

I got the HOD set as well. they are pretty good =) Can't really beat HID, but they are way better than stock, and for the price.. it's a STEAL!

Heres my review on the lights

the HOD lights are crap, one of mine stopped working after 2000 miles on the car. they look good, but they dont help light anything up, and the high beam is shit.
