Got my winter ride figured out. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So a few days ago i was browsing Cars.com looking for a cheap winter vehicle to drive to and from work. Well i came across a sharp little Dodge Dakota Sport. So I called up the dealer and asked if it was still around. It, was so i took a drive and test drove the truck.

Its a 97 Dodge Dakota Extended Cab, 4x4, 5.2L V8, 4 speed auto. Drives good. has 129k miles on it. Not a bad little truck. 4 wheel drive works great. I tested it out on the dealers "offroad" patch behind their building. It has a little bit of rust on it but nothing too terrible. its got BFG A/T tires that look pretty damn new. So its all ready for winter. Im gonna have all the fluids replaced next weekend just as a precaution and then itll be DD for the most part.

So i slept on it and then yesterday I decided I wanted to buy it. Got a good price too. So heres to the pic!

Nice! Those tires are my favorite. I put them on my 4x4 trucks. The BF Goodrich All Terrain TA/KOs really made my Canyon come to life in the winter.

Smart thinking not taking out the Camaro on those roads! Looks like a nice truck!

U fellas make me feel bad buying the CAMARO... as my daily driver.

In MD we get snow... but normally its either next to nothing and melts with a coupla hrs... or a straight BLIZZARD... where I'll have to drive my Tahoe 4x4 anyway.

I picked up one of these....its been great!! Instead of low, firm and fast....this is bouncy and really fun! I have to say my big V8 gets way better gas mileage than the Jeep. My Camaro is all tucked away for the chicago winter!!!
