Will the new Z/28 sound as good as this>? I hope it comes close!!!
This is idle and rumbling of Hennessey HPE650... Enjoy!! One of best street sounds I have heard to date.

put this in your browser!!

No chance. The aftermarket can get away with a lot more than the OEM can.

Exactly. It can be a bit louder and more aggressive than the SS but it won't come close to something like the HPE650 or anything else from the aftermarket.

Why exactly is that? If there are standards, they should bump up right against them. Just sayin'....

it wont sound that good... that's comparing a niche market car with exhaust specifically tailored to a customer's wants vs. a mass market car that has to please consumers in multiple markets and, eventually, continents.

the aftermarket will always sound better and perform better than stock, when done correctly

The manufacturers are required to follow noise standards just like emission standards. Even stock Harley-Davidsons sound like crap until they get an exhaust system added and they push the limit as far as possible.

that thing sounds like a monster but theres no way in hell they'd mass produce the cars to sound like that

i do expect the z28 to sound wonderful though. not nearly as loud and raunchy as the OP's vid but i'm expecting these things to have a real good rumble to them

At full throttle that car would have city councillors banning aftermarket cars from all the complaints!!

So no, not on a factory Z28. Maybe as nice as a ZR1 perhaps??
