CAI, Exhaust, Emblems

I am a little confused on which CAI to get and what exhaust to go with it. I want a deep growl rawr but not obnoxious but at the same time loud. And also does anyone have the black chevy bowtie symbols and if so where did you purchase them and how did you install it because I am thinking about getting the ones where the silver still shows the outline around the black. Thanks

there are stickies at the top of this page that will help you as much as a forum/youtube can help. it's always best to hear in person, but obviously it's not really possible to hear/ see everything in person...

as for bowties, i'm sure if you google search, or use the search function, you'll find out where to get them. good luck.

Welcome to the CAMARO5 TEAM.

There is plenty of info on this forum about the different exhaust systems and CAI to use. I personally find the INJEN and MRT 2.0 one of the better set-ups. But of coarse I am going to say that because that is what I am running. Then again so are a few who are the top of the 1/4 mile times.

As for the bow ties, you can always use vinyl to cover the gold portion. There are threads on that subject too.

Lastly, check out my thread for other ideas and mods.

Thanks so much rtcat600man! Where do you purchase the vinyl and how well did it hold up? And was the installation easy?

Go to a local vinyl shop that makes signs. Ask them for some scrap pieces. More than likely should be able to get it for free. You don't need much.

The vinyl has held up exceptional well. I have 7 months on my Camaro and over 13,000 miles. No problems, and looks as good as the day I installed it. I figure if it goes bad I remove the old vinyl and do it again.

Installation EASY. Wipe the surface clean with some rubbing alcohol to clean it off. Then place the vinyl over the surface working from one end ot the other, working out the bubbles. Rub the areas until the vinyl is tight every where. Take a new sharp xacto knife and cut along the edge leaving behind the good vinyl. There was a video and thread on the install somewhere in the forum.

If you should have any further questions about anything please feel free to send me a PM.

Good Luck and again enjoy your Camaro and your time on the Forum.

Gee, I wish I worked for GM so I could have gotten mine 87 months ago!

On the serious side, take a look at catman's tread. Lot's of good ideas there.
