I was in the process of painting mine when a factory GFX package was placed on Craigs List for a great price. It's gonna be hard if you want a smooth look (sanding etc) or you can save time by using an adhesive promoter and then paint it the color you want with a final gloss coat as is. I think I have pics and can write up the steps if you need them. I used rattle cans and it was actually looking great!

wrbear, thats what I am looking for! I want it smooth and glossy, any help would be great. I would like to just do this myself as long as this dont take a week to do, the car is my daily. I just think it would look so much better next to my aqua blue paint.

My painter Buddy who is doing all the extra paint work on Pumpkin wants to paint the diffusser the same colour as the car. Not sure about that cosmetic modification yet.

Give me little time to round up my ups and downs with pics....I'll post later today. What I did was a combo of things I read and others experiences. I was down to the clear coat buffing and stopped. Stay tuned!

Just a quick note....the diffuser is cosmetic....you can drive the car without it. Don't rush into it and think your going to finish it in a weekend.
