M6 Tremec 6060 ratings

I have read some sources saying the trans is rated to 600 ft-lbs, yet GM rates it at only 420 ft-lbs.

I know many here have modified their engines to 600 and up, so what gives?

Wondering about this as well. At what point should the transmission be built?

all TR6060s are not the same, there are a few different models w/ different ratings. The SS Camaro basically has the lowest level. There was a thread here ages ago (probably around the release of the 2010's) that listed the different levels of TR6060s.
