1LT non RS and I want Halos!

What is the easiet way to get Halos? Other than paying the dealer $1200 for them. I have seen eagle eyes on ebay for around $400 for both. Don't know if that is a good idea or not? If I change my headlights are there any issues with the "auto" on the lights with the daytimes coming on-on their own or anything like that. From what I have read it is not as simple as just taking out the old ones and popping in the new ones. Suggestions Please.

Search eagle eyes there are numerous threads that will tell you everthing you need to know plus save you from some of our learned mistakes too.

I have the eagle eyes in my 1LT Synergy with dual orange/white halos for headlights and fogs. I also installed hids for the headlights along with LEDs for the foglights. I put in switchback led bulbs for my front turn signals that run white but blink orange for signals.

As far as auto drl lights go they will function normally with either halogen or hid bulbs. I have a harness I need to install as I want to stop drl from coming on during the day. I want to run just my halos and parking lights as it looks better to me.

The eagle eye swap if installing without any mods to them ie: putting in led halos inside is very simple with no extra wiring. Just remove bumper and oem lights, install eagle eyes , hookup factory wiring plugs to them and back on with the bumper. Hope that helps.

Eagle Eyes are plug and play, but if you want the DRL's to be moved, you will need to make your own harness or see if anybody has made them. This is what I was able to do with my own harness.

DRL on during the day

After 3 months, no problems at all, not even a flicker.

Send your lights to AAC style and have them install some LED halos. the options are endless. just tell them how you want them to work. Or take a short vacation down here to new orleans and hang out with the cajun camaro club while AAC make your lights dance. Or you could be boring and look for an Oracle headlight dealer closer to you and have them do it.

Eagle eyes are the way I chose, and I was not disappointed whatsoever, great product with HID - brighter than OEM RS. It was the perfect solution for me. I tried AAC first and well- didn't cut it

Why don't people just get what they want at the dealer. At least it would be cover if something went wrong I don't understand. I love the way people try to mod there car like the 2lt or the ss you spend almost the same money as if you just got the 2lt or the ss from the dealer plus if anything goes wrong it's covered.

Well to simplify it for you:

- lack of extra money at time of purchase
- don't want all items offered in the package
- want to make the car unique by thier hand
- spend the money gradually to achieve thier look
- love modding thier car
- to confuse guys like you who just can't understand

Get it now? Lol

To the original poster:

I had halogen lights and I switched over to eagle eyes. I wasn't hard to do. I added an HID kit because they come with h9 halogen bulbs. They looked really good, got lots of comps from people. That was the cheapest and easiest route to take.

After that, I stumbled on a deal for some RS lamps and I had to take it. It was more expensive, about $300 more and I had to buy a harness to convert the stock wiring to make it work with the RS lamps. It was like $60 from AAC from what I can remember.

There's TONS of threads about this, just do a search for Eagle Eyes, Halos, or even retrofitting. You'll find all the info you need. And don't forget to check the member's for sale area. You could land some RS lamps pretty cheap there. I did.
