So many mods so little time....

I just got my 2010 Camaro 2SS non RS. Where do I start on mods???? I want to do halos, on headlights, fogs, and tails. Cat back exhaust I'm thinking borla atak, HID headlights, and a sound system. Where do ya'll recommend starting........ Any thing else you think I should do? Its white with the matte black stripes.... In a small town with a huge college there are tons of camaros already around. Most are your typical red, yellow, and black so mine kinda stands out but I dont like kinda. I like being noticed...

if you want to get low cost and high value, eagle eyes hids are pretty good from what I hear.

If you want halos that look awesome, go with AAC halos. Also taillight afterburner concept leds can be found from AAC.

There are seriously thousands of exhaust threads, so if you search you can find videos, pictures, and owner impressions.

Personally I think the first thing you might want to do is get a clear bra. These cars attract rock chips like no other! Also, the paint sucks so much even your nail can cut through the paint (don't ask me how I know )

As for sound system, I don't do that so someone else will have to chime in.

If you want to stand out, halos are an awesome way to do it. I installed a 3-way relay that made my amber halos my drls (which is legal btw) so that when I roll up all you see is my 4 halos from my headlights and fogs.

There are several ways for you to stand out apart from the above. Try lowering your car, getting ground effects, unique stripes like these http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=193372, maybe t3 fog light ports.

Easiest way to stand out is get different wheels. I personally would love to have either of two wheels: chromed wheels of my RS wheels (I don't have the RS btw), or Foose Speed wheels.

Btw, Welcome to C5!!

Oh and I'm at a college town too, and if yours is anything like mine, be prepared in a few years to have many many door dings.
I believe I'm at 8 beauty marks right now

My first mod was a CAI brand cold air intake, then some engine dressup stuff, then Borla Atak Exhaust (which I highly recommend), then Wheels. In the next couple of weeks I'll be adding Borla Headers, a Tune, and Belltech 1.5" Drop Springs.

Guess you have to decide which you want more as to what you do first. If you do exhaust, I would recommend at least the cold air intake and if you can do headers and tune at the same time, all the better.

The key is to make it your own and do the mods that you will be happy with. Don't so something because everyone else is doing it. I think my Dad said that to me once.

One thing you might consider; since you're in Texas and have black stripes, consider tinting your windows. Would look nice on your car.

Good luck and happy modding!

Fred

What she said, But personally if it were me i'd leave the headlights alone but to add the AAC brighter output bulbs for NON-RS, because i see alot of RS models which i love, but im starting to dig the non-RS look for some reason ...Clear Bra would have been my *First Mod...BTW Welcome!

The attack is one of the best exhausts I have heard on the v8 camaros. If I had a v8 o would go with it in a heart beat. I would look at getting hid bulbs first instead of doing the whole halo look. I would also recommend a CAI inc cold air intake. Made a little diffrence in response and sound of my car.
