door opening noise

Is it normal to hear a clicking noise under the hood everytime you open and close your door?

OK so you got clicking, ticking, knocking, flooding, hissing, hesitating, rumbling engine, and slanted car issue from your other threads,
and you refuse to go to the dealer.
You wouldn't be just trolling for trouble here are ya??

Actually, yes, it's normal. There is a relay under the hood that clicks when the door is opened/closed. There are many different things that must happen within the entire electrical system when the door is opened/closed, such as lighting, window indexing, etc...

listen, you are never going to enjoy this car when every time you get in it, you focus on what may or may not be there. Fact, reading car problems in car forums will make you "think" you have the same problems in your own car. Often times, you will listen and look for things that are not really there but you get sooo paranoid that you start to think/hear/feel a problem exists where there really is none. STOP! Unless your car goes KaBoom! Or you start seeing big white or black smoke coming out the back end, or your car turns left when you want to go right.....just STOP being paranoid and start enjoying your car!

Try this, stop hanging out in the problem sections of this and other car forums, reading about car problems on other cars. I guarantee you, you will be less paranoid.

I agree with FFr

You need to not worry so much. I have had my Camaro almost 1 year and have about 15500 on the odometer, and I have had some issues, but nothing that gets to me every time I get in the car... I know when 2012 comes I am going to get a Stang again, but for now I just deal with the issues... well except when it took my dealer 6 months to fix a power window problem... that sucked and was total BS, but otherwise, if it breaks while driving it, and it is under warranty.... who cares.

I like the post from one of the other members. If you wanted trouble free, go buy a Camry, but you don't see too often hot babes with Bikini tops and short shorts posing in front of a Camry.
