What do you want to know about it?

The only info I've seen is here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140820

Some of us 2010/2011 have converted to a backup camera system. Here is the link and what it would look like on the 2012:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142833

At CFII some of the GM design engineers looked at what we had did, and said that was exactly where they were putting the back up camera, which si inbetween the rear license plate lights. The display will be in the rearview mirror, and you can see what it would look like at the above like. I posted what my backup camera looked like and others have posted what the rearview mirror looks like.

Hope that helps.

Some of the 2011s already have the bumper cut for the camera location.

You have to get the mini van option to get it.

The one on my Equinox is pretty much worthless. You can see if something, like a house, is behind you, but not how close. Sensors IMO would work better, then again, I'm not so lazy I can't tell my wife to turn around and look and see if anything is behind me.

Not sure what you mean. I have one in my 2011 Terrain, which should be comparable to yours, and I have no problems seeing any details. Proximity is not a problem either.

The first few weeks I got my car I wanted a BU camera. Now I have no desire for one because its not really needed. Once you get used to the car its a non issue as long as you have bu sensors that measure your bumper distance. Backing into shopping center spots or parralel parking will all become a non issue over time..\

I agree. The senors have saved me a few times. The camera is a fish-eye kind of thing and is very distorted.

Backup Camera and Backing Sensors...

It is disgusting the 'nannys' we put on cars (and everything) these days to keep the cluelss from hurting others!

Just as disgusting is the look of the rear bumper with 'zits' on it that immediately draw your eyes to them!

If the competition has it, we should probably attempt to compete.... especially if we aren't going to put a full featured nav in the dash aka Sync.

Yes, some people do want infotainment systems. Even in a Camaro.
