octane booster? good or bad?

i put 91 octane in my ride because thats the best i can get where i live. are octane boosters good or bad?

I don't know literally, but it seems to me they wouldn't be a good idea. I think the car has a recommended Octane...either on the sticker or in the owners manual...and I wouldn't go higher than that. You could even wind up with warranty issues.

i always put in 91 aswell even if mines a v6 cheveron gas only and maybe every 3months add a bottle of there ..... http://www.chevron.com/products/prod...tives/tcp.aspx

some people are using 93 octane. do you know how much a octane booster would raise the level?

Regular octane boosters only raise the level a few "points". This means 93 would become 93.3.

Torco makes race fuel concentrate but it's expensive and just doesnt have that great race gas smell.

It does stabilize the fuel if you don't drive often.

The only way you can to do this is that if you know someone at a local/county airport they can sneak to fill up a 5ga gas can of av gas for you.

dont waste your money on that crap. if you want to raise your octane level go get some race gas or e85.
