Check to make sure everything is tight and seated properly. I had a similar noise in my car, I also noticed it after I had my Solo's for a while, it turns out that it was my resonator, doesn,t mean that's what's wrong with yours but you might want to check it out. I had mine on the rack and could easily hear it was from the resonator

Make sure it is actually bolted properly
Make sure it is not touching the silver metal shielding under the car
Make sure the exhaust is not in contact with the Tunnel Cross Brace (metal panel that goes under the exhaust around the middle of the car)

I am most sure that its the flex pipe itself , it raddles real bad at 2000 rpms .

so 1 out of 2 things .

1. this is normal with a l99

2. i got a set of bad cats !!!!!

I WILL CALL SOLO TOMORROW AND SEE IF THEY CAN DO SOMETHING FOR ME !

It is not normal for anything to rattle. I can't see how the mesh could rattle. I believe that Solo's have the cores welded in multiple spots to prevent them from loosening but it is possible. Did you listen to it on the lift to see if you could hear it from underneath? All was not for nothing, you got rid of the resonator and I'm sure it sounds much better without it, I know mine did.

Sorry to hear this! Let us know what Solo does for you to help resolve the problem. How much louder does your exhaust get when deleting your resonators with solos?

Did anyone find out what the rattle is? I am getting a loud vibration upon accelleration, which just started two days ago. It is not normal.

Did he put an X-Pipe in where the resonator was? If not you just lost alot off the line since you are now down low end torque and HP.

I would check the entire system from the cats all the way to the tips, because I had a similar noise on my passenger side and the problem was the High-flow cats have a slightly less clearance then the stock cats and my catback was touching the heat shield underneath which made a awful raddle on start-up and while driving but when I adjusted the catback to clear the heat shield the noise was gone completly

I am installing my SOLO cats this weekend on my L99 A6. I hope I don't have the same problem. Keep us updated when you fix it regarding the cause.
