"Discussed on other threads, regarding my 2011 2LT, A6 transmission hesitation. Below is what was done to solve the hesitation issue:
The transmission check/service indicated nothing obvious or abnormal. We test drove my car on some long straight roads and it was noticed there was some hesitation between 1st and 2nd gears, not as noticeable between 2nd and 3rd. We then test drove a new 2011 equipped like my 2011 2LT, A6. non RS. A difference was noted. As best I could understand, the shifting between 1st & 2nd gears on my car there was about a 400 rpm spike, however on the dealer brand new car the spike between shifts was only about 200 rpm.
They called GM while I was standing there, confirmed no one else in North America had reported this issue, so they started a case file with GM. I am looking at my service receipt as I write this and it says, “Test drove with customer and confirmed shift flare between 1 and 2 at approx. 25% to 40% throttle opening. Case 971102622. Suggest following document 1593292 and published S1 diagnostics.”
To solve the hesitation issue the TCM (transmission control module) was replaced and reprogrammed.
Result, smooth consistant shifts between all gears.
Hope this helps."

Anyone else get this done?

Sounds like it might be an issue with the "adaptive learning" software in the TCM . Those who have the Trifecta tune have a tool that clears the adaptives and lets the TCM re-learn your driving style. Perhaps that particular car had an issue with that software...

I have the same issue on my RS. Right before it shifts into second, it hesitates, the rpm's jump up and then it shifts. I guess I should have it looked at then.
