Another Dr. ColorChip fan

Thought I would do this post and share my story.
I've learned a lot from other forum members. Thanks to all.

I was a victim of a wayward rock thrown by a passing dump truck.

Heard the loud thump and saw the damage when I arrived home.
A big gouge and ding was the result.

I didn't want the repair to be a costly experience nor did I want the repair results to grow into much larger area.

I saw posts regarding Dr. ColorChip and how it worked on "chips".
Wondered if it would work on "gouges".

Here are the before and after pics.
I had to do a couple coats to help as a filler.
The ding is still there , but the color match is right on.

Thanks for sharing this. For sure, that is a dead on match. Good job!

Was it a difficult process?

looks pretty darn good, I would still get a PDR guy to take the dent out...

I just got 3 yrs worth of chips out of my trailblazer using the DR, I can't say enough about that product.

I used it on my RJTC and was very pleased. Posted a thread about a week ago if you want to check the pics.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this product. I hate my scratches.

I used my Langka system for the first time today. I used the OEM touch up on several chips yesterday, let them dry for 24 hrs., then used the "Blob" eliminator. It's really nice.

I was worried that I might use too much pressure and remove too much of the paint, but in reality, it took about 200 passes with the straight edge inside the included cloth to get the paint level to where I wanted it.

I followed these videos and I'm impressed with the result:
