Hey guys and girls,

My name is Bill, and just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Grew up in the muscle car era (yea, I'm old...) and with the exception of one, my cars were all Chevy big blocks. Loved 'em, every last one. Then I went into the Corps in the early 70s.

After getting out, I had various types of cars, but none were Chevys. Then I got hooked on the Mustangs in the early 90s and burned through 7 of them, including two Saleens, with the last being a 2001 Cobra. When the 5th get Camaro came out, I took notice, but wasn't really in the car market yet.

Last Sat. I dropped by the local Chevy dealer to 'just look' at it and ended up driving a 2011 SS/RS home. First car I've ever had with a slush box (auto), but then my left knee won't take too much rush hour traffic anymore. Orange w/black stripes, just like my friends '69 SS/RS. Cool.

I do embedded software for a living, but have had many jobs over the years, including being a master MB/Porsche/LR technician. Hobbies include home machinist, horology, combat pistol (IPSC), and golf.

I will be learning this new car from you guys and will probably drop off the deep end just like I did with the Mustangs. Well, maybe not that far...

I look forward to reading all the posts here and getting to know my new ride. I don't ever see myself jumping back over the fence, this car is just too cool.

back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the

tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it

easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
