THANK YOU, Team Camaro!

Thought I'd share my Facebook status from last night, and expand on it, fb status in quotes.....

"Some days ALL the attention my car draws can be a little overwhelming..... BUT I still have a SERIOUS case of something called "perma grin", and EVERY TIME I drive it I say -- sometimes outloud, "I love my car!". Thanks Chevrolet, this thing ROCKS!!!"

This is after owning my car since September of 2009, and driving over 24,000 miles in it! I've told my wife things like that MANY times in the 2 and a half years I've had it, but never said it in a public forum like that. Yesterday was one of those days where the sun was just right for ABM all day, people were constantly complimenting my car. The first was a guy in a cross walk, as he walked in front of me he looked me directly in the eye, gave a big thumbs up and mouthed "Nice car", then five minutes later the cashier at O'Reilly's told me I had an awesome car while checking out. I thought, "cool, two compliments in one day", but I hadn't seen anything yet. My wife and I went to a minor league hockey game last night, while waiting for the left turn light at the first big intersection coming into town, there was a car to my left and back two cars that kept honking softly every once in a while, I was like "wtf". After we turned he got along side and waved big enought that I could see, then gave me a thumbs up while mouthing "Sweet ride", I waved back and was like, that's cool. As I came up to the next red light there was a service van in front of me, all at once I noticed the driver waving his arm out the window and looking at me in the side mirror. When he saw me looking he gave me a thumbs up and mouthed something the car, I couldn't really read his lips very well because it was in a mirror, but he definitely liked it. At that point I said something to my wife about all the peopl complimenting the car, I'm used to the stares, thumbs up, and waves while driving, but to have that many people go out of their way to say something was just unusual, but the day wasn't over. After the game was over(Good guys won 5-2), we were leaving the lot and as I drove by a group of people, a woman in the group yelled, as loud as she could, "I LOVE YOUR CAR!!", I was speechless because everyone within probably 200 feet had to have heard her, it was just surreal.

All the great compliments just made my day, so when we made it home, I just had to post that as my status. So with that I say again,to Chevrolet, and especially Team Camaro, from the designers all the way to the guy sweeping the floors in Oshawa....THANK YOU, this thing ROCKS!!!! (esp. with muffler deletes and the rpm's between 3-4k....)

I bought a c6 corvette this past summer and you know what all the people that know me asked? You didn't get rid of your Camaro did you? lol. I love both of my chevy's but the Camaro most definately commands more attention.

I know what your feeling, yesturday I came out of a pet store and there was a man taking pictures of my car My wife sees alot of people giving thumbs up other good signs. Owned mine since Nov '09.

I had to gas up this morning, and the guy opposite me told me "Nice car". I get that quite a bit, but Saturday it just seemed like people were going out of their way to say something nice about it, it was nuts. I even had a couple of instances of "negative" attention.... ricers, smh.
