Air Filter

How much horsepower does an air filter add on an 1LS Camaro?

They add nothing to a SS. I'd be suprised if they added anything to the V6 either.

agreed...A CAI intake will be more beneficial then the stock intake, even with a better filter

Ive even read that after market CAI dont do much either. cost to benefit isnt worth it. 300 bucks for barely any horse power.? cant justify it.

What's your definition of barley any HP? Does 15whp for $350 qualify for a good cost/benefit ratio?

For what it is worth, there is a noticeable difference going from stock to CAI non-tuned. I spent the first week chirping the tires unintentionally and on cold days, hold on tight. You feel more "grounded" and like you have more power. But again, I have no numbers, only testimony.

You loose some of GM's "sound engineering" when you add a CAI also.... As in you can HEAR the intake! It sounds awesome when you get on it.
