Defender Worx Products (Installed)

Thought you guys might be interested in some very nice billet
products available from Defender Works. I haven't done any
mods to my interior, so I thought it was time for some visual
enhancements. I installed there Camaro engraved auto shifter
and Camaro door sills. I am very impressed with the quality of
Defender Worx's products. The fitment was perfect and the
shifter was so simple to install. I love the way the shifter looks
and it fits my hand perfect. Now I wish the auto's had the
manual shift mode at the shifter instead of on the wheel because
I find myself holding onto the shifter while I drive now.

I have the DefenderWorx billet locking gas cap and I agree with you on the quality of the machining. The door fit the quarter panel perfectly, however the latch design for the car side was the worst I've ever seen. With the latch provided with the kit, the door would not even close flush with the quarter panel. And even if it did fit, the latch material was so thin and flexible, a two-year old could pull it open when locked. You can go on their web site and download the installation instructions to see how flimsy and cheap the latch parts are. I made my own latch and the door now fits great and functions as advertised.

I wouldn't know about the quality of the fuel door latch because I don't have it. I'm only posting on there products that I installed. Thanks for the the heads up though on the fuel door although I personally wouldn't purchase it because I prefer the factory color matched door.

this kind of defeats the purpose of your new shifter, but I saw this yesterday. lol

I recently purchased and installed their all black billet sill plates. Although I found them to be a bit "pricey", the quality is first class and they look "factory".

I purchased the same defenderworx shifter and couldn't get it to work in my Camaro. It would shift but not release the key from the ignition...I tried ajusting it several time for an hour and nothing worked. Any ideas on how I can get it to work? thanks

^ Can you shift out of park without pushing down on the shifter? If you can the metal rod with a plastic pointer, may be stuck on the spring of the defender worxs shifter. Did you try to loosen the top set screw and install just the base of the shifter, then install the spring and top of shifter after the base is secured. The spring in my shifter was not positioned right so I just moved it over with pocket screw driver and the shifter works perfect every time now.
