How accurate are TPW's? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ordered May 28th and moved to 3000 not long after that.

Was shown the order screen by my dealer today and it shows a TPW of August 3. Seems kinda far off...is this just an issue of allocation? Was told that I would "definitely" have my car in 6-8 weeks. If this TPW is correct, it'll be 8 weeks before the car is even produced.

i wasnt so sure you get a tpw at 3000 i thought at 3400..hope mine goes down the line the same time yours is

That's what I thought also but I'm looking at the screen and it says 3000, and off to the right is lists TPW: 08/03/2009. Weird.

I got a TPW of 6/1 when I went to 3000 on 4/30 and my car was built on 6/1. Mine was dead on!

I am at 3000, and have a TPW of 7/27.
We'll see how acurate mine is...

I was told my 2LT would be built the same production week (8/3) yesterday. Given that the order was accepted by GM on Thursday (code 2000) how can they have a production week scheduled already (code 3300). Does this make sense to anyone?

Unfortunately my dealer didn't tell me what my actual code status is, just that the order was accepted and I should expect production that week. Is he guessing or did I jump to 3300 in one leap?

That's what I am wondering also. I've been at 3000 for a while...I guess they've been assigned TPW's at 3000 now.
