I just had my ECM recalibrated to eek every last hp out of the thing. It is all for naught if it doesn't run faster at the strip. I will divulge the details if it actually helps (unlike some members here). The track is going to run 1/8 mile only tomorrow so if I beat my 6.92 best 1/8 mile pass I will know if the new calibration helped. I don't know what it means if I run faster than 6.854...

So did you do a new tune & save the old one? Can you switch from your race gas tune back to your pump gas tune easily?

yes...old tune saved. I will surely go back to the normal tune for daily driving.

Did you use efi live? I had efi live on my SS, quick pulley swap on the Maggie, upload the tune & poor race gas in the tank, eash way to gain a bunch of horsepower.

What was your mph increase? How much did you increase your power? When I bump my rwhp I see very serious et & mph increases in the 2nd half of the quarter mile.

Yeah, but you're bumping rwhp by increasing boost...not making slight tune adjustments.

Ahhhh! Your right, I was thinking he added boost & timing. I forgot he just retuned for an octane increase.

at least I am saying what was being recalibrated now...nothing to hide. The record holder is closed lipped about everything and has yet to even say what fuel he was using...like it is a secret...lol! I only had one run today and it was my PB from above. I waited for 4 hours and left the key on and the battery was dead when they called my run group. It took 15 min to charge it and then lanes were closed...(slap to my forehead,). So, my best 1/8 mile was a 6.89@102.46 with a 1.600 60'. The mph increase in the 1/8 was only .1 but I bet my 1/4 mile mph would have been 130. The "calibration" was for 100 octane and was worth quite a bit of power to 604hp/619tq now. Previous hp was 590/605...not incredible but better. So...that is much more information than is offered by our record holder. You're welcome! lol! BTW...my boost is the same...no change to the 10" lower only.
