Plastic strip on fender? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Anyone know the proper name for the plastic strip in the picture?

I ask because I want to know if it can be replaced or if I'd have to purchase a whole new fender. The dirt is under a thin, clear layer of plastic so I can't just wash it off. If someone could either post the name or a link that would be awesome.

Its called molding.
You can go to a GM dealer and buy one. It is just glued on.

Not much. I'd say about $20. Funny thing is that I have to replace the molding on my door, because it started to come off and mess up the paint.

Yep, those are body side moldings. Some people like the looks on the Camaro without them and take them off. I like them myself.

If mine were in that bad of shape, I would just peel them off.

take a heat gun and some fishing line and peel it off
