Using C5 to steal MY ZL1 listing to scam others out of 37k - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

While I have no proof of who it was , I believe Someone stole my posting on this site to list my car on another site for sale at a crazy low 37k, If so Its just another childish act...

prank or not ...

I got a P.M. from another member Today Claiming to know what I was really selling my car for,and what it should be worth. HE sent me a link to a for sale sight,and sure enough there was my pictures from my listing being used...I called the number and it said it was not taking calls at this time,although there was a web address for which i am looking into before i email it...

It could of Most likely been someone trying to scam others by pretending to sell my ZL1 through a fake listing...AS it was listed For 37k,which is what scammers do they list Items a rock bottom prices hoping to get at least a deposit or rob them when they show up with the cash.....

I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt to another ZL1 owner...

But I do intend on looking into it by searching for IP address and tracking them down through the listing,,,Just as i did with a armslist scammer after trying to scam myself and others out of 2k for a rifle that he was not selling until a cop who he had contacted said he dealt with it after i pass on the scammers personal info.......
Once you get any info google is great at helping the rest of the way with tracking down people that aren't hidden behind 4 or 5 different layers...

Anyway I am sure someone else may come across that fake posting,I a

m not selling my car for 37k on any given day,I would rather just wait and be buried in it

The only thing correct about the posting is its a ZL1 and its not a lemon !!!

This isn't the first I've heard of this happening. Although first with a ZL1, but I read a story of a lady that breeds pet cats, a rare breed that sells for $1500 to $5000. Anyway, some asshat had taken a pic off of her website of her with one of her cats and put a listing for kittens on Ebay. Whole thing was bogus. Basically like you said, trying to get a quick deposit from someone before getting shut down.

You've really got to watch it these days.

lol...well unless he stole it for real I think death is the means to a end for this act, but as in Texas it best to catch them in the act of stealing it for real after dark..Then its legally ok to protect your property...
