Driveline noises

I am getting some driveline noise when shifting between gears (knocking sound). It seems to happen in the lower gears when moving slowly. It sounds almost like driveshaft “backlash” or rattling.
There is also a rattling/knocking sound when pushing in the clutch pedal when pulling up to a stop in first gear which I think is just the clutch engaging, albeit louder than your average car.
I currently have about 360 miles on my car. I am not sure if it has done this since day one or not, I just noticed it yesterday (first day I haven’t had the satellite radio cranked up).
Is this normal for a 6spd manual SS? Are others experiencing the same noises?

sounds similar to noises that my car makes...also heard it in another car as well, think it's normal transmission "clunkiness".

A sound or video clip probably wouldn’t pick the noises up, they are very subtle. I must have the radio all the way down and the windows up to hear it very well. I can almost “feel” it as much as I can hear it – kind of like a driveshaft vibration due to driveline lash or something.
It’s probably not an issue, I was just wondering if this was normal and others have noticed this or if mine is an isolated case. I have heard it in other cars as well just not as pronounced.

yeah i got it too i talked to dealer said it is supposed to be there because of all the parts in the driveline and trans that are spinning. when you disengage or engage the clutch you are going to have some noises. dont worry about it.

My manual trans has been making a clanking sound also,I mostly notice it when I am pulling it into the garage it sounds like a bad u-joint. This is actually my only gripe with this car.

Same noises here, it's normal for this car and tranny.

Good to know that many others have heard it as well and that it’s a normal sound with this drivetrain. The part that concerned me was that I didn’t hear it until 350 miles – I guess that proves I have been giving the Boston Acoustics and XM a workout!
Thanks everyone for the comments.

The manual trans has a 2-piece driveshaft so it's likely to be noisier. I hear the drivetrain noise in mine too.

Same thing here too, I was worried a mount could have torn or something so I had the dealership check it out, its just the driveline shifting around a bit, totally normal.

I have the same here too. I only hear it when I pull into the garage and push down the clutch because of the closed in space. I hope it's normal! Not too concerned though, the car drives great!
