edmunds camaro comments!

man! Read the comments and testing they did! Please dont go all hating on them like the rest of car forums because they say something bad about our baby...what surprise me is they tested 0.87g befor go 0.84 g with test car...
they did 1/4 in 13.0 flat before not 13.5...Damn
But two things that could improve our car dramatically...
Torque management....remove that fu ckin shit out of my car it feels like a corolla at low rpm...when a 6.2l should shake the house like it does in the vette.
They should have put bigger sways: if you dont know any better thats good but like me coming from a lotus elise this car feels like a dead big fat men compared to a pole dancer in her prime times!

They are correct on the rear end gear....going to a 3.73 would be great. I thought that was going to be an option for the next model? If that is'nt enough its going to have to be a blower. I'd like to see forged internals on a blower motor though.....

GM had a lot of reasons for making the decisions they made. Releasing a Camaro at the time that GM did was difficult enough with bankruptcy around the corner. Success aside, we've heard our share of rants about how irresponsible a V8 is, even with efficiency that doubles classic predecessors. Additionally, there are settings in the DIC that allow the driver to make the Camaro more aggressive. Let's not forget how much these cars get moving after 1,500 miles.

Why do we care what Edmunds says? The Camaro is still chasing demand. People want this car because they already know that it is a superior performer, besides its flashy appearance.

There's a lot to be said about these sorts of articles and the numbers they produce. We have to ask about the bias of the magazine. Are they funded heavily by domestic advertisements or read by those who drive certain kinds of cars? These are important considerations, as well as the individual biases of the writers and drivers. Imagine putting a driver who prefers Nissans behind the wheel of a Corvette. Do you think they would push a GT-R harder? I'd bet my next paycheck on it. Let's also evaluate whether they use the same testing techniques on each car or whether human error is a factor in timing the numbers. What was the altitude of the test? If it was too high off the ground, then the number will be poor. Let's not forget the temperature and humidity.

There are too many factors to consider that could make a test run go bad. It would be easy for a magazine to conceal its bias behind bad driving conditions or a crappy driver who doesn't know how to put it in competition mode.

Despite results like these, people who have a brain will buy the obviously better car.

I didn't read it...but if this is the same guy that had a conniption over the steering wheel -- take his opinion with a whole bag of salt, he's got a stick up his butt over something.

Who cares what that A Hole from edmunds thinks. He's probably in the same group that would get all quivery over a Prius.

Steering feels great to me, not sure why they'd say that.
A 3:73 rear end would drive MPG WAY down unless and Overdrive Trans could pick up the slack.

No...don't spam their emails, please.

But if they are running 87 -- a healthy reminder...or hundred...to run 91 or better would certainly be constructive.
