Avis rental - SS PHX or LAS in 2010 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi,

Hope someone can help me. I would like to hire a SS for 2 weeks in April next year from either PHX or LAS. Whilst the Avis website will list me a price for any dates before the end of 2009, it says the car class is unavailable for any dates I enter in 2010 (Even a pick-up date of 1st Jan). Are they discontinuing the vehicle at these locations at the end of this year? Any ideas why the price won't come up?

I am based in the UK and tried calling Avis in the UK who were completely clueless as to what the Camaro was and couldn't find it anywhere on their international booking system.

Try calling the location directly? I know international call rates suck, but reservation websites are only as good as the people inputting the information. (meaning the employees, not you as the user)

not sure about PHX but locally here in LA at either LAX or ONT airports they would not reserve the camaro for you, it was first come first serve that day. Maybe that policy will change by april but that was the recent policy. You had to keep calling each day to see if the SS was available for rent that day and then get down there and rent it before anybody else.
