Horn Honking

Wow, I really did not think that i would have a problem with my new Camaro. But, last Saturday, I was driving along and the horn started honking!! it honked so much it blew the fuse at the service department at the dealership!!! Now my nice new Inferno Orange camaro with the nice new leather smell, smells burnt inside!!! Has anyone heard of this problem?? If so please let me know. I am aware that it has the potential for problems because, well lets face it, it is a new model car, but i really did not see this one coming and I am really let down!!

Thanks Blade, that is not out of the question. I really think that this is a wiring issue and just wondering what will be the next component to go out???
I see you have not received yours yet....hope you do not have any problems

sounds like a short somewhere, the burnt smell is not a good sign and not from the horn honking too much but something actually burning like a wire because of a short. The fuse blew because of the short, a good thing or that burnt smell might have turned into a fire. I have no idea what the problem is but hopefully it's something minor and they get you fixed up quickly.

I wouldn't be down in the dumps about, you have warranty and that will cover this problem. So the service center should be able to fix this issue. It is a rare thing to happen, as I have only known one person aside from you to have this issue and it wasn't even a Camaro and it was almost 5 years ago.

And yeah I can't wait to get the ride…this wait blows

Getting Impatient

I do not have it back and I was just sitting here comtemplating calling the service department to check in. You think that if you bought a new camaro, the customer service would be a little better. So far not impressed. I do not expect them to call me twice a day to say hello, but a courtesy call every couple of days to let me know what they are doing to a car that I have paid just one payment on would be nice!! I am being nice and will continue to be nice until the wormy little service dude smarts off one more time...... I do not expect miracles but I do expect results!!

I wouldn't expect them to call you until its ready. If you want to know the status, I'd contact them. It's our car, and you deserve to know what's going on with it, especially if you dropped it off on Saturday.
