Random Question- How's the Horn? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Guys, this has been bugging me forever so i finally decided to ask, hows the horn on it? Is it loud, or some volkswagen bug type crap?

All I know is that my mom's CX7's horn is as close to an air horn as possible on a regular car, and it makes you jump whenever you lock the doors, i hope the camaros close to that too.

if you've ever watched the price is right where bob/drew would make the contestant in the game, "ask ladies do i X numbers right" and if they were right a horn would go off. Thats what it sounds like to answer your question a generic car horn, it's weak but its not a truck horn its just right.

It's a good old American horn. Just like my trucks. And when it's blown it says get the F%$@ out of my way

. Not the lame beep foreign cars have that says please move, please, really, I would like to try and pass.

its OK, but I would like LOUDER horns, I might get some air horns. In my 2nd Gen, when I first got it, a lady pulled out in fron t of me and didn't give me a second look when I blew my horn, so I put small air horns onder the hood, the next time it happened, and it did, the guy almost ran off the road trying to get away from the BIG TRUCK what was about to run over his A$$!! ROTFLMAO

It's a GOOD dual horn setup that goes "HONK!" like you expect... it does NOT go "Meep!" like the bug/import horn you are worried about, and it does NOT go "Boop!" like a single horn setup in a lowball rental domestic.

I own a CX7 as well as the Camaro and didn't really think about it until now. I think that the Mazda horn may be a little louder. Then again, I think that the Mazda is not as sound of a car than the Camaro. I also think that the Camaro horn requires more muscle to work than my other two cars.

Haven't gotten there yet. Just used the windshield wipers for the first time since I got the car 5 weeks ago, they work fine.

I have a 1973 Beetle, goes Beep Beep. No, the Camaro's horn does not sound like that at all. It is a strange question though.

Who buys a car on the basis of how the horn sounds like?
