Mods on my 2LT

When I do add modifications to my camaro V6 I am going to install a set of short tube headers, high flow cats, flowmaster exhaust, a cold air intake and hopefully a tune...what do you think I could expect for my final horsepower and torque gains? I specifically want to bump up the total torque output.

Yes I know I could have gotten the SS but I got the car I wanted and was just looking at what my camaros potenial could be...

Actually the V6 responds very well to mods as we can see simple axle-backs can give anywhere from 5-15hp (MRT, Flowmasters) at least according to numerous dynos. Although I heard that shorties dont give as much hp as long tubes on both the V6 and V8... But you are definately right that the same mods on the V6 wont see a higher gain than the same mods on the V8.

The FlowMaster exhaust with headers should make a remarkable difference and you will love it; I had it on my ex corvette c6--- loved every moment

Despite the engine capacity, comparing stock c6 with flowmaster system, difference is well noticable and feels great... the sound on the flowmaster says it all too.

cold air intake will give u about 11hp, headers about 10hp, the high flow cats almost 20hp, exhaust wouldn't give u that much the most hp you will find is in the cats. this is all before a tune. a tune on the stock car will give about 20, but with all the mods i dont know

Shorty headers don't really give any hp gains at all, some tq and maybe a few hp but nothing compared to LT's!

A tune and long tubes are amazing bang for the buck!

i'm hearin' that BBK(i believe it was them) made a set o shorties that gave a 33HP for the V6...so, factor that in to the 20 from the cats...11 from the intake...between 1-11 from a catback...and 20 from the tune like trudawg sed...and you got 70+ at the wheels...now i'm no expert so i don't know what you'll really get, but i'm just goin by the numbers

I was gonna say 50-70 at the wheels depending on the tune ... They are starting to see some good tune results for the LT's .....

you cant add the power gains from several products and expect it to come out 1 for 1...based on there advertising.it just never works that way ive built close to a hundred motorcycle motors and if according to advertised power gains from each vendor some of these bikes would be 300 hp.
improve air flow
improve volumetric efficency
correct air fuel ratios
time for peak torque
then youll have a good street motor
