Some tongue in cheek color names - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Has anyone else noticed that color names are a little bland now? Remember when there was "Come and Get Me Copper", "Sub-Lime", "Plum Crazy" etc (yes, those are Chrysler colors, but you get the idea). Well, I thought I'd have a little fun and tweak the Camaro color names a bit. This is just a bit of sarcastic humor, no offense meant to any rabid color fans:

Silver Ice Metallic --- "I wish I had the Concept Silver"

Victory Red --- "All Sports Cars are Red"

Black --- "I Have No imagination Black"

Rally Yellow --- "Sorta Like Bumblebee Yellow"

Aqua Blue Metallic --- "This Is My Wife's Car Blue"

Inferno Orange Metallic --- "We Lost the Rights to Hugger Orange (TM)"

Cyber Gray Metallic --- "Matches the Shark Fin and Gills Gray"

Red Jewl Tintcoat --- "There's No Place Like Home Red"

Imperial Blue Metallic --- "It Looked Purple in the Picture Blue"

White --- "Rental White"

I hope that the Silver Ice Metallic looks more towards the concept, otherwise, it looks like there is a white, and a little less white, white, on the color pallette.

That would be awesome on your Charger, dude, although an SRT8 in black is badass enough. Didn't they make an exclusive Plum Crazy model? I don't remember if it was a Superbee or the R/T Daytona... probably the latter since that's usually the model they paint all the other retro colors on. I'm pretty sure B5 Blue is on the Superbee, though.

Either way, here's my satire-y version:

Silver Ice Metallic - "Because I don't have the money to pay a fiberglass-worker to recreate the concept Silver"

Victory Red - "Come on, it's a Muscle Car/Sports Car Red"

Black - "Make that horrendous lower grille on the SS less noticeable Black"

Rally Yellow - "We will make our REAL Bumblebee yellow insanely expensive and know you retards will actually buy it Yellow"

Aqua Blue Metallic - "Had to make something for the ladies and lemmings Blue"

Inferno Orange Metallic - "Hugger Orange used on vert concept was too expensive Orange"

Cyber Gray Metallic - "For those who can't decide between silver or black Gray Metallic"

Red Jewel Tintcoat - "I like to be subtle with my reds Red"

Imperial Blue Metallic - "The better of the two blues Blue"

White - "Because we had to White"
