Rude People - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Okay... I know there are rude and inconsiderate people everywhere, but I am in California right now and I have never seen or heard so many rude and inconsiderate people. Every time I am out there are horns honking at people to hurry up and move out of the way, and then just tonight I was standing outside a restaurant talking to my family we were right in front of my truck and it was running too. This lady comes out and sets her to go box and some other things right on my hood while she goes digging in her purse. I was like excuse me but do you mind not using my truck as a table... they just looked at me like I should not be asking them that and were like it's just a truck. That it may be but it is my truck and not yours and I am particular about my paint. If that would have been the camaro there may have been some more words. I am not viewing the whole state as rude and inconsiderate based on a few, just saying I have never seen so many rude people. Okay I am coming down off my soap box now.

Hell, I live in California, go ahead and stay on your soap box for awhile!!! You're right, alot of the people here SUCK!!! I'm born and raised here, I love the land and the weather, but wouldn't give you two cents for most of the people!!! Just wondering, what city did all of this happen???

LA area... Whittier to be exact. I was born in Santa Ana but moved to Oklahoma when I was just a baby. This is the first time I came back since I was probably 12 and I am so glad I do not live here. You are right the weather and land is beautiful but way to crowded and so many rude people.

I kind of suspected the L.A. area. And yes sir, it is way too crowded with rude people in certain parts of the state. They don't seem to care about themselves, so why should they care about anybody else? It's sad, because California was a great state once...ONCE!!!

yea it is just crazy at how people act around here. my mom was born and raised here too, but she was telling me she is glad that she does not live here now. you are right it was a great state once. i am many fond memories of visiting here when i was a kid, but now they can have this state... lol.

to be quite honest guys you can find that type of people all over the country, but specifally, in large cities it more previlent. Small towns tend to have more closer knit communities.....HOWEVER.....You will find A$$HOLES there as well. Its just a fact of life and the world we live it today.

People suck everywhere! Nobody respects anything anymore. They don't respect the law, their government, their parents, their teachers, their kid's teachers and they sure as hell don't respect other people's property. I just try to be nice and hopefully it comes back to me. It's all you can do.

I've lived in NC, CO, CA, PA, and TX.

Here is what I've seen:

CA- snobbish, too busy to say hey, put off by strangers speaking to them. Too busy for petty small talk.

CO- hit or miss-- It can be pretty good, or really bad, but it is literally a 50/ 50% chance.

NC- depends on the area- I grew up in foothills, people were really nice, but racists- so as long as you were the right race (in their eyes) you were okay. Then I moved to the "city" Greensboro area--- People not as nice overall, but still nice, ...but at least the number of outspoken racists were much lower.

PA- (South West corner)- VERY Racist people, prejudice, unwilling to accept new comers to the state. Those folks are put off by people from other areas. Horrible driver's, Rude, and uneducated folks.

TX- people much nicer, will actually talk to you or spark conversation as a stranger, people won't look at you like you are an idiot if you happen to speak to them. By far the best state I've lived in (as far as the people, and governing)

This is the exact reason I am moving to Oklahoma after graduation. Just too many rude and inconsiderate people in California.

Good move! Fewer people, lots of open spaces, and for the majority, people are more friendly here than other places I've lived.

I am so glad that I live in a small town.Here people stop their vehicles in the street to let pedestrians pass,cars back out,or rules enter moving traffic.I was born and raised in a large city,with rude disrespectful people(now) and every time I return there I am so glad when I leave.Just the way it is when you have a change in the mix of the populace.No connection to one another.Self interest,lack of respect for others and mostly their self is what brings out the worse in people.
I would have just took the box and said"look someone left their trash" and put it in the truck and drove off.Fed the dog!!!
