Airbrush flames on engine cover
Decided I wanted a little more colour under the hood. Don't mind the engine cover (it's existence or it's shape). Didn't really care for the GM painted engine cover. Wasn't sure about the other options out there. So decided to go this route.
The base paint is a perfect match minus the metalic flake. The flames are very realistic. They did 2 coats of clear for protection and to remove nearly all the texture. Can opt for any lettering on the front that will fit. I decided to keep it simple. Took a couple photos with different camera settings/light. Tough to show how real the colours look. Posting this in the Canada section in case anyone is interested in getting in touch with the shop that did this work. They have done tons of wild stuff and are currently working on the airbrush work for a bunch of the various helmets for the 2010 Canadian Olympic team. They're called Voodoo Airbrush and they are located in Ajax. If anyone is interested, I can provide more details. They do have a website - voodooair.com

Beat me to the punch!
We must think a like. When I pull mine from the road for the winter, I am doing the same thing to my stock cover. Probably have the gills airbrushed as well. Thinking about removing the CGM factory Rally Stripes and having them painted on. Have my painter look at yours, however flames are flames pretty tough for them not to look a like.

Hey scott, that looks great!
If i was to do the same thing, which im not, i would paint the silver parts CGM to match the stripes. I want to hear those exhausts valves....the thought of them just makes me smile! |

If anybody is interested in custom work like this (under the hood or elsewhere) send me a PM and I'll get you in touch with these guys. Their work rocks!
