Definitely interested to see what you have to say after a fair amount of driving.

I would say not the best for performance... right now it has to be the Injen... Especially if you are keeping the IAT sensor in the stock location...

It is a good looking piece though!

Looks vaguely familar. It looks great, much better than the stock tube.

I'd definitely be doing the IAT relocation on top of this. (if I did it). I agree that the Injen is the best way to go at this point for overall gains, but I also remember scrming saying how he didn't notice much, if any of a difference going from his custom tube to the Injen, except on higher RPMS. (oh, and the temps seemed to drop faster, but I think for the most part the IAT relocation would probably suffice)

Now, someone going from a stock box to an Injen would probably notice something along most of the RPM range, but I think they'd notice a difference with this as well.

Injen also wins in the looks department, at least in my opinion, but the blackwing isn't horrible by any means. Its also nearly half the cost of the Injen.

That said, if the blackwing doesn't perform how I'm thinking it should...then everything I just said goes out the window lol.

Nope, there was definitely some nice low end torque gains with the Injen...

This is the Injen vs my modified stock tube and IAT relocation:

As for seat of the pants dyno, I put about 60 miles on it and did several runs from a dig and dont feel any difference but no one that I have ever met can feel 1 or 2% change in hp anyways. Ill hook up my matrix tomorrow and do a few runs and see if that shows anything. Other than a better flowing filter, losing the ridges on the flexhose connector, slightly less drastic entrance angle and the resonators, it not much different than the stock setup.

OK, well i stand corrected from my above post!

Well, I'm thinkin it will be a bit yet before I do an intake anyways, and hopefully by then there will be even more options out there! Then I'll just have to decide if I want to spend the dough!
