Fire Drill At Work Today

So we had a fire drill at work today and naturally they have everyone gather as far away from the building as possible. Well, as far away as possible is where I park my Camaro. Having a mass of people around my car makes me paranoid but luckily it looks like everyone respected my Camaros bubble. It was what I heard on the way back in to the office that got me fired up. I was walking behind two guys and their lady friend. The lady friend looks at my Camaro and says, "wow that guy does not know how to park." (referring to how I take the last spot in the row and move the car a little over into the no park zone at the end). The guy then says, "yeah the other day I purposely parked within inches of his car." When I walked out the other day I did noticed a red Saturn Solctice pretty close to my car but his drivers door was the opposite of my car, so I figured he was scared of door dings like me. I didn't say anything in fear that this might cause unwanted attention to my car, but it really ticked me off. Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to vent.

I'd have tapped Saturnman on the shoulder and said excuse me but that's my Camaro, and I do value it - I appreciate that you parked by me and prevented anyone else from doing so. When you can, would you please continue to park there? I'd sure appreciate it. When I know who's parked next to me I feel soooo much better. Add a big grin and a best buddy shoulder grip or the handshake where you almost crush his hand so he KNOWS... anything happens to your Camaro, you know where to go. But you are so friendly!
Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer

Bitch, please! I can park with the best of them. I park this way for a reason. Do you see this beautiful mf'ing vehicle, without a scratch or door ding present? it's like that for a reason, and I'm not impacting anyone by parking the way that I park.

Yeah, it took a lot of patience to avoid saying something. I ended up taking a different way back to my desk before I ended up back handing him in the back of the head. To top it off, I noticed that a beater mini van backed up into the no parking space in front of my car and was within inches of my front bumper. I just don't know why the non car enthusiast just can't leave us a lone to let us enjoy keeping our cars beautiful.

We have a special section in our parking lot that is just for muscle cars. Of course I do work at YearOne.

I hated it when I worked at NCR. I would park out in the lower 40 and someone would park real close.

I would have kicked the saturn in the door, then said "yep it is true, you cannot dent the plastic door" "I thought it was just a sales gimmick" " huh"

Seems like the way to park already gives attention to it. Just like people that like to take up more than one spot.
